WHAT IS A PROFESSIONAL SUPERVISED VISITATION MONITOR?
A trained, neutral third-person hired to supervise and monitor contact between a visiting parent and their child(ren). While monitoring, the individual is responsible to ensure the safety and security of the child-to-parent interactions while documenting what is seen and heard during the visit.


WHAT ARE QUALIFICATIONS TO BECOME A MONITOR?
  • No conviction for driving under the influence (DUI), child molestation, child abuse, or other crimes against a person.
  • No civil ,criminal, or juvenile restraining orders within the last 10 years.
  • No probation or parole record within the last 10 years.
  • No current or past court order involving the person being supervised.
  • Submit to Background Check
  • Proof of automobile insurance, if transporting the child.
  • Agree to adhere to and enforce the court order regarding supervised visitations.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to speak the language of the parent and child being supervised or  present a neutral interpreter over 18 years of age. The interpreter must comply with the first three qualifications.
  • Fulfill the training requirements.


ABOUT OUR TRAINING COURSES
  • Pre-registration is required.*
  • Each 3-day course is offered once a month on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
  • Continental breakfast is provided at the start of each session.
  • All courses meet current mandatory training requirements.
  • Training is in full compliance with the "24-hours of Training", which inclusive of Family and Juvenile Law Basics.
  • Exact location to be provided upon confirmation of Registration.

HOSTING PROFESSIONAL CHILD VISITATION TRAINING SESSIONS REQUIREMENTS

Registrations and Fees
  • 50% of training fee is due at the time of booking.
  • 50% is due before the training session begins on the first day of training.
  • Deposit can be paid via check, cashier's check or money order.
  • Balance due can be paid via cashier's check or money order.

Class Size
  • Minimum 15 students
  • Maximum 25 students

Classroom Setting
  • Chairs and Tables
  •   Dry Erase Board w/Dry Erase Markers and Eraser
  •   Television or Projector with Screen
  •   DVD Player
  •   Easily Accessible Restrooms

Location
  •   Venue should be close to eateries
  •   Venue should have centrally controlled temperature (A/C and Heating)

Trainer Accommodations
  • Round-trip, Non-Stop Airline Ticket provided 2 weeks prior to departure.
  • 3 Days, 3 Nights Accommodations in 4 Star Hotel Accommodations
  • Private Ground Transportation to and from airport.
  • Private Ground Transportation to and from venue (if hosted in a location other than hotel).

ALL Providers of Supervised Visitation Services MUST complete 24 hours of training including Family and Juvenile Law Basics to be in compliance with the Law.
* There are no refunds. Instead, registrants are welcome to apply the registration fees to another course date.
